i don’t know what even to reply with because i am so mind-bogglingly shattered that i missed out on tickets and i’m trying to cover the hurt with pictures of new zealand. TELL ME IT WAS THE MOST AMAZING THING YOU HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED

I wasn’t quite sure what I was expecting, but it surpassed it. The songs just come alive. There were 9 people on the stage. The band was insanely talented (the guy on the saxophone had a solo/intro thing that went for 5 minutes and he was trilling and doing cray cray stuff and I swear to God it was like he wasn’t even breathing, it was sick). When they played Skinny Love, everyone on stage sang the “my”s and it was really powerful. It’s the first show I’ve seen where the complex lighting actually complemented the music, rather than “lol guise look at all da pwetti lightz we have”.

It was encapsulating, enveloping, mesmerising.

Beautiful.

I refuse to listen to any of Bon Iver’s new songs because I want to listen to the album, in full, alone in my bedroom so I can bask in the brilliance that is Justin Vernon.
