STICK IS HERE

I AM ON THE INTERNET

I’m so very proud of this and feel so freaking honoured to have had the opportunity to work with an amazing piece of work and exceptionally talented people.

So honoured.

EVERYONE GO AND SEE THIS SHOW

The season’s sold out, but an extra show has been added on Saturday afternoon at UNSW Studio One!

Also if you happen to see this and live in and around Melbourne/London/Edinburgh, SHE IS ALSO GOING TO BE THERE TOO AT SOME POINT SOON

Nipple tassels + finger puppets + mi goreng + live science and pie charts = fab show.

yay

Anonymous lilted: Hey how did you audition for atyp?

I was a member of the atyp years 10-12 Ensemble (which then became the 11-12 Ensemble) from the beginning of 2010, year 11. They don’t require an audition, it’s like a weekly class where you learn drama skills etc, and pretty casual, but my drama teacher recommended to the staff that I join the atypical youth advisory panel, and then I started attending the meetings.

The atypical advisors are involved with what’s going on within the company and give a youth perspective on it (considering it’s a youth company) and because of that I was aware of what shows were being produced for the season so I knew when they were auditioning, and because I had become a regular around the theatre, I was sent audition notices.

That was the long way to be alerted about auditions, though.

I don’t have an agent either, but the atyp website does advertise openly for auditions here. The specifics for each audition changes, but for the ones I’ve done, it’s been 2 contrasting monologues of 2 minutes each.

It’s a great company, especially for people just starting out in the acting world (like me) and they welcome people with all levels of experience.

The Voices Project: TO BE

Ten actors, one city, and the most famous monologue of them all.

Directed by the acclaimed Damien Power, TO BE launches a new brand of Australian theatre and film-making.

(My dad showed this to his colleagues at work and they said I had actors eyes. I’m not sure what that means, but Dad took credit for it because I have his eyes. Of course.)

heeheehee an event was just made for The One Sure Thing and I’m the event photo THAT’S WEIRD

But anyway if you live in Sydney you should come.

It’s really good if you’re doing HSC Drama.
